Capt' Roger has two shop faces. The mainland dock is his repair station — bring 3 Nails + 6 Wood (both gathered on the mainland at 1 Nail and 2 Wood per pickup, source not exposed pre-release) and 1 Rose (10,000 Shillings from Bill's Seed Shop). Once paid, the boat trip cutscene plays and drops you at The Forgotten Isle dock. On the island his second shop stand sells the four Pearl-priced harvest tools that unlock the resource node tiers: Machete 500, Pickaxe 2,000, Scimitar 8,000, GoldScimitar 30,000 — 5-minute restock, same cadence as every other shop in the game. Note: a "Blacksmith" NPC exists visually on the island (BlacksmithModel in game files) but has no attached shop module — the actual tool inventory lives under Roger's CaptainRogerShopData.
Boat Repair Cost
The mainland boat repair takes three material payments and one fruit trade before it will sail. Every number below is straight from the game's files.

The Boat Trip Cutscene
The trip plays a fully staged cutscene: an animated boat, water splash effects, an island silhouette in the distance, and detailed rock formations along the way. The game ships a Skip button so returning players can shortcut past the intro on repeat rides.

- ▸Mainland fare: 3 Nails + 6 Wood + 1 Rose. Only the Rose has a confirmed source (Bill's Seed Shop, 10,000 Shillings). Nails/Wood pickup source not exposed until release day.
- ▸Yield per pickup: 1 Nail, 2 Wood. Plan for 3 Nail pickups + 3 Wood pickups minimum per boat trip.
- ▸Boat trip plays a scripted cutscene with a Skip button for repeat rides.
- ▸On the island Roger sells all 4 Pearl-priced harvest tools (Machete/Pickaxe/Scimitar/GoldScimitar). Knife is the starter tool — every player has one automatically, not sold anywhere.
- ▸The island shop restocks every 5 minutes. Camp it during the first hour if you want first pick of Scimitar or GoldScimitar (both rotate with 1-3 stock per restock).
- ▸Blacksmith exists visually on the island but has no backend shop — the tool inventory is all handled by Roger. Treat Blacksmith as a lore NPC, not a merchant.
